Day 1: Departure for Tbilisi
Day 2: Tbilisi
Tbilisi city sitghseeing program – walking in old town and historical centre. While walking you will explore in one of the first districts of our capital and enjoy colourful houses, wooden balconies and wonderful examples of different architectural styles. You will start tour from Metekhi church (12-13 century), from where opens magnificient view to old Tbilisi. Later walk towards Tamada statue and historical Caravansaray. Visit Sioni Cathedral (6-7 century), Peace Bridge and Clock Tower.
Day 3: Tbilisi - Bodbe - Sighnaghi - Tbilisi
Visit small but very beautiful town Sighnaghi which is called “city of love”. Town is surrounded by defensive wall and towers and gives chance to have stunning view of Alazany valley and Great Caucasus mountains. We also visit nearby monastery Bodbe where is grave of Saint Nino, who converted Georgian people to Christianity.
Day 4: Tbilisi - David Gareja - Tbilisi
David Gareja is one of the cave complexes located in semi-desert area. Nature and landscape amazes visitors , you will have chance to see old frescoes in caves and witness Azerbaijan from the ridge.
Day 5: Tbilisi - Mtskheta - Uplistsikhe - Tbilisi
Visit Unesco herirage sites such as Svetitskhoveli cathedral and Jvari monastery. Pilgrims will have chance to attend special ceremony and see tomb of Christ's tomb. Later continue to Uplistsikhe cave town and explore ancient rock hewn complex.
Day 6: Tbilisi
Orthodox church has various traditions in holy week and you will have chance to get acquainted some of them. Amongst them are - painting eggs in red colour, "Tears of Virgin Mary" , Patriarch washing feet to twelve bishops and some more.
Day 7: Departure from Tbilisi
